Thinkpad tablet pen problem

It could be a problem with the pen but I am not positive. I knew someone who had a problem a little different from this but involving the pen not working how it should. They called the company they got the laptop from (Gateway in their case) and they were sent a new pen for free. Lenovo might do that if it's under warranty or you could buy a new pen. It could be a problem with the drivers, though, in which case I am not entirely sure what to do. Maybe reinstall?

Problem .......x61 tablet help !!!!!!!

Hello snapshots, I have an x61, and you may want to check that all of the keys on your keyboard are not damaged, and that none of them are stuck in the pressed position. That is what the "stuck key" message typically means. If you check out the keyboard, and all the keys are fine, and if you are still receiving this message, try calling Lenovo support. There is an off chance that your keyboard (or other components) may be slightly defective. Here is the link to the Lenovo site: Hope this helps! Jeff

My lenovo thinkpad x60 tablet pc was locked, and i can't unlock it at all. can you help me to figure out?

Hi, If you are talking about the Boot, HDD, Bios password, then the only one way to recover it is to implement a chip on the systemboard to shorcut the protection or to contact Lenovo for a systemboard replacement. Otherwise you can check out theses 2 tutorials, with few skill you can make it yourself: - - Unfortunalty, no other ways other round. Thanks and have a nice day J-

Screeching noise My thinkpad x60 tablet has started to make a screeching noise a lot of times when I turn the sound up. I dual boot vista and ubuntu but the noise is only in vista and I do not hear it when I go into rescue and recovery either. It sounds like a feedback problem from the onboard mic because whenever I rub my finger against the mic I can hear it through the speakers and the screeching noise changes. I have tried turning the sound down on the mic all the way to zero, but I can still hear the screeching noise and I can still hear noise from the mic through the speakers. I tried disabling the mic, but it disabled my entire speaker system and everything and I had to reinstall soundMAX. After doing that I got my sound back but the mic also. Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Right click on the speaker icon in your taskbar, select Open Volume Control. If you do not see the Microphone control select options>properties and select it from the list of check boxes. Press OK. Check the mute box for your microphone.

IBM Thinkpad X41 wont turn on.

I have the same problem. I have swapped the memory, hard drive, keypad, network card and modem with the same components of another tablet. I did each component seperately into the known good machine. this machine boots with each of these components and the bad machine still will not boot with known good components. I believe that it is either the motherboard or processor. Not worth the cost. ebay has some machines for 200-300 dollars.

My Battery is not working!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Discharging the battery will not harm the battery. Lenovo purposely has an annoyingly slow recharge rate because a quick recharge will shorten the life of the battery. It is not a problem if you have the patience to allow a long recharge. Otherwise spring for a second battery for quick replacement when AC power is not accessible.
