Ram location and type - Panasonic TOUGHBOOK CF-18 Tablet PC

The best way to find the ram location is to look at your user guide. It should also explain how to upgrade ram. If you don't have a user guide then you should be able to download one from the Panasonic website, follow links for support and downloads. For ram, there are a couple of excellent sites, just google "Crucial" or "Orca" you can iether use their scan software or enter you own details and they'll reccommend the type of ram you need. You don't have to buy it from them, you may be able to get it cheaper else where.

Irulu displays dotted lines?

Such electronic devices from China generally aren't repaired under warranty--to be then returned to customers. Any such repair is not likely at a facility near your home in the US, anyway. If the fabricator or its importer contact here actually refurbishes these, it's likely performed at some single facility--the importer contacts (or perhaps the store--or another store) may then try to sell these again later, for a somewhat lower price, as refurbished units (perhaps not, though). Once your return your tablet, the refurb process really has nothing to do with you. If you wait past the point of return and refund, the store then won't help you. The importer contact or company might instead send you another refurbished unit, after you ship your tablet--if it's still then technically under warranty. It's far better to get the store to let you return it to get a refund, or to obtain a replacement--these are the best outcomes if it's defective. (People have trouble with refurbs, sometimes.) If resetting to factory settings doesn't work, return it to the local store or follow the RMA process (return merchandise authorization) from the online store. If it's defective or broken after all, don't let your rights to return it to get a refund or replacement unit expire: Determine if it's defective in order to get return the process moving soon. It sounds like a problem which likely may not be easily nor cheaply fixed. It's likely an LCD screen problem--perhaps the tablet was bumped around badly during shipping. (LCD screens really prove quite delicate. This is a larger tablet's LCD screen giving the problem now, after all--it's more likely to be damaged if it's not packed and shipped well.)

My company uses Panasonic Toughbook CF-18. We have ones that are over a year old, over 6 month old, and even just a few months old. In the past few weeks we started experiencing a problem where the units are shutting off by themselves. Totally losing power and shutting off. It doesn't happen when plugged into AC Power. The units only shut off when they are tapped hard or hit somewhere. Sometimes also by a quick movement or even when you close the LCD screen. We tried using spacers (a foam piece between the battery and the battery door) to stop or limit battery movement. Although this helps, it doesn't solve the problem. No matter how tight and what measures I take to keep the battery in it's place, chalking it until it can't moves. The unit still shut off when impacted. Can't some other internal component be causing this? What else can I do?

Try to charge the battery with the Panasoniv programm: Calibration Utility. I think is a battery problem.

My Panasonic Toughbook T2 was shut down properly and kept for about a month. now it does not boot. Even inital BIOS check function is not performed. Though HDD movement can be heard. Checked RAM by replacing with other.Scree remains blank/dark. HELP

It sounds too simple but try to remove the battery pack from your Toughbook, and make sure the TB is unplugged. Leave the battery pack out, and plug back in. Try to start the unit. ALL Toughbooks have the problem that is the battery goes too low then the unit will not boot. If it works, then you have solved a complicated problem with a very SIMPLE solution. Good Luck!
