I have the Velocity Cruz Reader 103. My browser only works in Landscape and does not 'correct' to Portrait. I think it used to work, but no more. Also, my device keeps giving me "low memory" warnings, but I have 3.47G of space on my MicroSD card, and 8G available memory on the SD card. How do I move files, apps, etc onto these cards. Thanks!!

Hello jhborts , first off- double check your default display settings: 1. Click the Menu button in the top left corner (fourth icon on the right of the set).2. Click on "Settings"3. Click on "Sound and display".4. Make sure the box next to "Orientation" is checked, that way the auto rotate feature is enabled. If this fails to fix it, and you have a home replacement launcher enabled by default (like ADW or Go Launcher, etc), go to the preferences (in ADW/Go Launcher) and make sure that Auto-Rotate is in fact on by default. Auto rotate should not require a reboot to be instantly enabled, but if neither of the above seems to have an effect after employing the auto rotate feature from both the main settings page and the launcher preferences page- then reboot and recheck if it works after the power cycle is completed. The "Low Memory" warning pertains to the 256mb of shared RAM on your R101, that also doubles for your installed apps memory. You have three options for this issue:1. App switching: Downloading the apps online to your device lands them in a folder under your SD card labeled "Download" by default. Check it via Astro file manager (which comes with your reader I believe). Here, apps are safe to find even after you uninstall them. To uninstall an app, go to:Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications> then select the app(s) you want to temporarily uninstall, and click the uninstall button. To reinstall an app, use the Astro app that came with your device to locate an app or item. Click on Astro from your app tray, go to your "Download" folder under the SD card (or just click on the magnifying glass to search for specific apps). Click the app icon in the folder in question, and follow the prompts to re-install.2. Link2SD: Click here for usage details. You will need to root your Reader, try the Z4Root software to root your device easily- here is a link to download the app!.3. App2SD: Install Apps2SD, link to the APP2SD app here!. Again, you will need to root your Reader, and again I suggest Z4Root software to root your device easily- here's the app! ...again!.Good luck!

Oh, see your AutoPlay Settings in Control Panel. Set it so that when a new drive with mixed content is connected, it should display it in a folder. There are numerous options. Just set it as you like it. It should open it up everytime you insert.Or go to My Computer (or Computer in Vista) and double-click the card.

I opened up the laptop to look for any damage to the motherboard and see whether the video part could be replaced. No luck. Ended up replacing the laptop through ebay, not too expensive these days.

I have HP 2710 P tablet on windows 7 . the Ricoh SD card reader is not accessible at all even after i updated the driver manually , i went to the device manager and it shows no errors and driver is installed correctly as well as when i put a memory card i can hear a plug sound which i normally hear when i connect a any usb device. but still i can not see the device on my computer

Have you tried putting in another memory card? Because it would appear that there is something wrong with your memory card. Try to use another card and see if this changes anything. If it does, then your memory card is faulty. If you have some important data in your memory card then I suggest you contact a data recovery company.Hope this helps.

Hi, 1. How to transfer/copy bootable XP files onto SD card and then boot up Toshiba Portege M205 from the SD card? 2. Is it possible to made an image of my Windows XP CD on SD card? Regards Tad

Requirements PC running Windows XP/2000 with a CD/DVD burner. USB Flashdrive (Or some way to transfer files to the 3epc once Windows is installed) SD Card, a fast SDHC is recommended of at least 2GB. XP3eSD Utility Hitachi Microdrive Filter Drivers Partedmagic (or another bootable CD with disk cloning software) Windows XP CD (SP2 Only Tested, may work with others) Asus Eee PC (Of course!!)Instructions: Copy all files from your XP Install CD to a folder on your Hard Drive Download the XP3eSD utility and run it to create a new install CD capable of installing Windows to boot off the SD card reader Boot your 3epc from the CD made in step 2 Install Windows onto a FAT partition, deleting all the existing partitions When windows boots for the first time turn off the swap file, system restore, and the screensaver. Then stick your USB thumb drive into the EEE with the Hitachi Microdrive Filter. Next copy the files from your thumb drive to the desktop and then properly remove the thumb drive. Unzip the microdrive files to a folder on the desktop. And Insert your SDHC Card into the EEE. You need to then Hit Start go to run, and type regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\USBSTOR\Inside that you should find a directory called something like Disk&Ven_USB2.0&Prod_CardReader_SD0&Rev_0100. Open it. Inside that you should find another directory wich is just a bunch of numbers. Open it. In the right pane you should see a key called "Hardware ID" Right click on it, and select modify. It should list about 7 lines of text. Copy ONLY the first line to the clipboard. Hit cancel, close regedit. Open cfadisk.inf in the directory you unzipped the microdrive filter to. Edit the section called [cfadisk_device] so that rather than containing 11 lines, just have one line. The line begins with: %MicroDrive_devdesc% = cfadisk_install,After the comma, hit ctrl V to paste what you coppied from the registry into the file then save the file. Go to Device manager. Under disk drives, you should see SiliconMotion and USB2.0 Card Reader. Right click on the card reader and click update driver. Direct the driver updater window to the Hitachi driver you just edited. It won't detect the driver automatically, you have to specifty that your supplying the disk for the hardware and force it to use the driver. Reboot using the Partedmagic CD or USB Flashdrive, Download it here Create a FAT32 partition on the SD card, same size as the one on the SSD in your 3epc Use 'fdisk -l' to find out the partition names of your SSD and SD. Type this command into a prompt: 'dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/dev/sdb1' When it finishes (it will take some time) type this command: 'dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=512 count=1' (Note: If fdisk reported your SSD and SD as different than sda and sdb respectively, you must change that in the dd commands, if unsure ask in the support forums) When it finishes the task is complete, reboot and select to boot from the card reader Re-image the SSD of your 3epc with your restore DVD or USB.

My Android Cruz Reader R101 starts on the Cruz flash screen, skips then goes back to Cruz flash screen. I have reset it using the reset between the power and External SD card. I also removed the back and unplugged the battery for several minutes. Unfortunately that did not help. Can anyone help?

This sounds similar to something that happened when I tried rooting my android phone. If it's the same thing, that means you will need to go to recovery mode and install an package that you can find somewhere online for it. It's because the code for what's supposed to happen after that screen is overwritten and it doesn't know where to go.
