Ix104c3 fails to start half way through loading xp

Hi, i lent my xplore to a friend who has got a virus on it i think. he gave it back to me with apologies. so power up goes to screen saying if you didnt expact this screen blah blah choices of safe start, safe start with network, safe mode with command prompt. last known good config and start normally. none of them will work all the way. on safe mode it stops on system 32/drivers/agp440.sys waites a while then starts again. i can run the keyboard from usb port so have some control over input. any ideas will be gratefully received. thank you many regards jeff

Hmmm it appears that file maybe missing on the hard drive of the pc and when its restarting like that its encountering a blue screen of ***** because it can not load that system required file now there is a way to fix this but you can expect everything to be placed into the windows.old folder if done right but you will need a second pc to do this First: download the file here but instead of placing the ISO image onto a USB drive with the program they say to use you can burn this file onto a disk using window's built in tool or IMGburn (built in way: right click on the ISO file and click burn image and this will burn windows XP BE onto a typical 700MB disk (WIN XP BE isnt a normal windows xp version but will be supported by MS up to 2019) plus the install will be like installing XP but just refreshing it long as you dont format the hard drive (EG: do not format during the install setup) Second: install a well good known antivirus such as AVG or Sophos home antivirus

How can I get my tablet to work when it turns on and starts to load it doesn't stop loading.

Lot's of people have your problem. Try Googling *Nobis NB09 stuck on Go*. I happen to have a Nobis NB09 myself and can say with utmost confidence that it is a POS. The problem, from what I've experienced and read is a whole bunch of units with defective internal SD card memory which results in the App partition not being seen or available to the operating system. Since the reset button didn't work, there is a small chance a factory reset might work to at least get you into the set-up process so you can check the app partition memory status. I suspect, like mine, it will say 00.0 bytes available. This is the top graph shown in Settings > Storage. Anyway to do a factory data wipe/reset do the following: with the tablet powered off, 1) press and hold down at the same time the power button and the volume (-) button. After about five seconds you will see the Nobis screen. Continue to hold both buttons down. The Nobis screen will go away. Continue to hold down both buttons until a green android appears along with green text. Release both buttons. 2) Look at the lines of text. One of them will say something like Wipe Data/Factory Reset. Use the volume(+) button to scroll to it and select it by using the power button. 3) another screen should appear with a bunch of *no no no no* lines and one line for a go ahead. Scroll to the go ahead line using the volume (+) button and engage it using the power button. It should then do the factory reset bit and then a screen will come up giving the option to power it off. 4) Power it off, wait at least ten seconds and if it doesn't power back on then push down and hold down the power button until the Nobis screen comes up. Release the power button and wait. Allow the boot up process to run it's course. This could take several minutes - up to ten minutes from some reports with the GO screen showing. If your unit is not completely borked in probably about three to five minutes it will finally boot into the set up screen. If it does this enter your google email info, etc and it will eventually go to a you are ready to go screen. The first thing you should do is go to Setting > Storage and check out the top bar graph. If it's green all the way across and says 00.0 bytes then your memory is defective and your app partition unavailable. If this is the case the tablet won't remember any changes and it won't be able to upload any updates or optional apps. Every time you turn it off and start it back up you will have to again go through the set up process. The only recourse is if it's under warranty to contact Nobis now Bidwell and see if they will issue you a RMA number so your can return it for repair. I did this and they repaired mine and returned it. It worked for about two weeks and AGAIN the memory went bad. I tried to get another RMA and they gave me the runaround. So I told them to go take a flying leap and that I'd be letting everybody know their product is defective and they don't stand behind it.

Replace hard drive but can't load tablet operating system

I bouht one used and had no tablet pc restore discs, but my 40 GB hard drive was full of programs. I cloned the drive with operating system reimaged my 160 GB hard drive with the image. You need to use partition software to repartition the new drive to " see" the larger drive with free space. This can be done before or afte. I did it after because i had to go thru trial and error acouple of times due to no real concrete info on the web.

FixYa solutions for every thing Resent problems with my Gateway CX200X Tablet PC made me believe it was infected beyond a virus scan repair. It would NOT let me Virus scan, quick restore to a previous date, go to safe mode it would divert to set up screen and it would not read restore disc. I took out the internal battery and exterior battery over night and the next day quick restored to a month earlier then full scanned twice with Microsoft Essentials, cleaned the disc and defragged. It still would divert to setup screen instead of safe mode. MSN Messenger would repeatedly return to startup list after running msconfig, even though I removed it from the computer. The last straw was when after many adjustments to Power options, the screen would turn off not the hard drive or go into standby. Nor, would the screen come back on. I manually induced standby using the FN and F3 buttons. It worked, for about a half hour when the computer started on it's own. After saving what I needed off the hard drive to a Flash Stick, I full restored using the 2 discs except just before it was done (about 93%) it would turn off the laptop. Restart would show blue screen showing, NTLDR is missing. I removed the receiver for wireless mouse and... Restored again, and c000021a (fatal system error). Restored again, "windows could not start the following is missing or corrupt: windows root>\system32\ntsoskrnl.exe" Restored again, windows could not start the following is missing or corrupt: windows root>\system32\HAL,DLL. Restored again, windows could not start the following is missing or corrupt: windows root>\system32\RMCast.sys Is the corruption on the hard drive or in deeper? Would replacing the HDD be the cure?
