ASUS F3S startup problems...

When i restarted the laptop so that it would install an update yesterday i switched it off in the middle by mistake when it says "do not turn off the system" on the screen. Now when i turn it on, a black screen with white writing comes up saying mainly that i can either press "Launch Startup Repair (recommended)" and "Start Windows Normally", If i press the Repair one the screen goes blank for half a second then it goes back to the same place it just was. If i press the start normally one the laptop switches off and when it starts it goes back to the same place it just was. what can i do

THE TABLET BATTERY DRAINED DEAD NOW IT WONT POWER UP WITH THE CORD OR BATTERY DEAD. IS IT THE BATTERY OR CORD THE PROBLEM. MY OTHER LAPTPS WILL STILL POWER UP IF THE BAT IS DEAD, IS THIS NOT TRUE FOR THE ASUS TABLET R1E?

Have the power adaptor checked by an electrician, most probably you will need a replacement. If you establish that the adaptor is working, then something happened to the battery charging circuitry in your Asus and it will need repair. If it's still under warranty, then you are good, otherwise it would be better if the adaptor alone failed, as replacement adaptors are rather inexpensive compared to laptop repairs.

Hi there I have a problem with my AT 100 Tablet. When I turn the tablet on it continues to loop back to startup. and I am unable to go further.

This tablet, also called the Thrive, runs Android, loaded from its firmware. In your case it appears that the firmware has been corrupted and the only way to fix it is by reloading and upgrading it. Since the OS no longer starts the only way to reload the firmware is to access it directly , thru the boot loader. This is an extremely sensitive operation, no mistakes should be made or the unit will be permanently bricked. If you have never done this before do not attempt to do it yourself. Better just take it to a dealer and it will have the correct software and expertise to do the job properly. It's an one hour operation so it shouldn't cost you more than $100.
