Guide :Tablets & eReaders : CX200X Tablet PC

The charging circuit doesn't seem to be working. The charge indicator LED is lit red (and has been for a long time). It sometimes goes out for a few seconds but then comes back on red. It does not seem like the battery is charging. I ALWAYS have this tablet computer plugged in to AC, and it is typically running straight for weeks on end. I RARELY use the unit portable in battery mode. I have tried, in the fairly recent past, to use the battery setup utility in the BIOS to reset the apparent "full" state of the battery but this operation fails because the charge circuit does not seem to be re-charging the battery. I am guessing the charge circuitry has failed in the tablet itself. Is this a repairable part or "board"? Where would I find one? What is it called? Does it have any identifying numbers? Any help you can give would be great!

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no "Replacement" part for this. It will have to be fixed by the Manufacturer. It isn't a "Part" per-say, but a circuit on the motherboard itself. If it is no longer working, then it is a hardware issue, and since it is a "Laptop" style computer, there is no way to simply fix it.

Is it possible for a tablet's battery to be affected by a faulty breaker in a home if plugged into the direct route of the damaged circuit?

Make sure the charger is providing the correct voltage and current. Batteries that are older and have a lot of charging cycles on them do wear out, so that's a possibility.

I basically want to swap hards disks on tow of my motion tablets becasue one tablet with the hard disk I want to use has acracked screen and the same tablet seems to lose connection with the extended battery which is fully charge. The little blue battery icon in the power monitor is empyt when I know the extended battery is fully charged. In fact soemtimes the empty battery icon suddenly becomes blue indicating the tablet now is connected to extended battery, but then it will soon go white. Thus the extended battery is less valuable on that tablet.

Helloin the bottom of the tablet you should have 1 or 2 covers that are held in with 2 to 4 screws.under one of the covers you will find the hard drive. if both of the tablets are the same brand and model, just swapping out the disk from one to the other will be all that you have to do.

The charger is right for the battery. IF battery won't charge on it proper charger, the battery or charger is bad. Take it back or put out more $$$$$$$$$.

Hp tc4400 doesn't seem to charge. I have an HP TC4400 I purchased used and it checked out OK while running on the battery but when I tried to charge the battery or run the tablet PC with the AC plugged in, it won't start. I see the light flash for a few seconds, then nothing. I tried with the battery installed and with taking the battery out. Any info and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Battery is not charging

Let the battery go all the way dead. You may have to adjust the settings in your bios so that the laptop will stay on until the battery goes completely dead. Then charge the battery. Do this a few times if it does not fix the problem you do need a new battery.

I purchased an android 7 inch Proscan tablet from Big Lots less then one year ago. In the beginning the tablet worked fine but now the only screen image that I get is the battery but it soon disappears from the screen. Sometimes I'll get a desktop image but that soon goes away too. Before it did it showed that the unit was only 9 percent charged and I've had it on charge for fifteen hours. I've electronically tested the house plug and the unit's power cord and both show a completed circuit. Any idea what may be the problem?

The battery needs replacing
