Tablet CX 2620 Display problems

You should angle the screen towards the light to see if you have a faint image on it. If so, the problem is more than likely a failed inverter, or CCFL lamp on the LCD itself. Either in which would have to be replaced. The CCFL lamp unfoutunatly part of the LCD it self and cannot be replaced seperate the screen. The inverter can be replaced easy as it it right under the screen. Symtoms of a failing CCFL could be the white comes out as red on the screen for the 1st 10 sec or so of startup. This will put alot of stress on the inverter causing the inverter to overheat and shut off. I have one to where the CCFL failed and am trying to find a replacement.Good luck

DISPLAY PROBLEM My laptop died instantly. What happened? I have a Fujitsu Siemens, bought brand new 2 years ago. I tried to turn it on and all that i have on the display is some shadows and blury images. If i light it externally with a flash light, i can work with the mouse and acces the menu, but is extremely painstaking and difficult. It seems that everythings goes wrong, the screen resolution decreased a great deal and all the figures and letters became larger. I cannot fix the resolution from the "display properties" because it is already set to maximum. (1280 x780) . What happened? please, nobody could tell me what is going on with it. Might there the lights behind the display? or the adapter ? I mention that until now, everything worked just great with it, no flickers, no problems. All happened all of a sudden/. Please, help !

The backlight is broken, call the store you bought it to have it replaced (if it's still in warranty)

Blank Screen Aloha, I am having a problem with my Toshiba Satellite R-15. I was on it the other night when the screen went blank and it was was still running. I thought the battery or the connection was the problem,so I turned the power off and the laptop would boot up and still no monitor. I did turn the screen so it was on tablet mode, when this all happened and the screen was on for about a minute or so thats when it went blank(do not know if that makes a difference or not) Do you have any suggestions on what to do? I do not have a reference manual to help troubleshoot. Mahalos Willy J

The bad thing about this is that it could be a software related issue or a hardware issue. If you're willing, you can disassemble the unit and check for a damaged or loose connector to the monitor. If there doesn't appear to be any issues there it may well be that the screen has gone bad or there is something wrong with the driver/setting on the unit itself that is causing the screen to saty off. I'd move forward with the hardware issue first though.

I have a toshiba tecra M4 that has a blank display. I have attached it to an external monitor and toggled the FN and F5 key to cycle through the display options with no results on either the laptop screen or the external screen. Any suggestions would be appreciated

For that first when you power up the computer press F8 key then if you are able see safe mode and other menu then enterin enable vga mode. Then go to start ->control panel then display then settings .change screen resolution to 1024*768.Then apply and ok.But if you are not able see any display when you power up the laptop then you have to refix RAM memory.Open back cover of laptop and Refix RAM memory.then if still same issue then open whole back cover and find motherbord there. Then find motherbord and pull cmos cell from motherbord for 10 minutes then check.Let me know if you need further assistance.Thanks.
