How can I break at bios password on a travelmate c110

Be VERY VERY wary if your bios suddenly asks for a password without you setting one. A blue screen which is then followed by the bios asking for a password could very well be the result of an attempt (successful or not) by malicious software to embed itself in your bios. This specialised attack is un-dettectable by anti-virus programs because it resides on the motherboards BIOS E_PROM and survives even if the hard-drive is replaced and a clean OS is loaded. This sort of attack isn't from people interested in using your computer as a mere spam-bot, it's far, far, far more serious than that. I'll say no more!I know this is an old thread but people with the same problem in future will see this while searching for similar problems.

I have a acer travelmate c110 and I am trying to connect to a wireless connection but the wireless switch is not on and I do not know how to turn it on. Please help.

Unfortunately you have to go to the system bios to enable your wireless ... if u have blue-tooth choose both. If your bios battery is bad your configuration will not save. every time you unplug the tablet and turn it of you will need to enable again.

When i turn on my pc it ask for a password i never created, how do i fix this problem

Hello again sounds like it has lost its bios configuration and wants the CMOS re-setting check the hard drive hasn't come loose or your CD if it is an interchangeable one .. and if the floppy drive was in the machine ( not a disk an actual changeable drive ) .was in the last time you shut it down put it back in and reboot see if it's ok unlikely but worth a try So if no joy you will need to remove the CMOS battery probably located under the keyboard .. or sometimes behind the ram module underneath and a few machines have their own battery holder under the machine .. its silver looks like a large watch battery and is in a plastic holder .. don't touch it with your hands they are static sensitive as are the other components around it .. wear a pair of marigolds the rubber will help protect the circuit ... hope this is a success for you good luck .. Regards Vortash

It no longer turns on and boots up

If after powering it on there is black screen and green light is flashing (the one for wireless/bluetooh) probably there is something wrong with the motherboard. If the laptop starts up to a moment when messages on a screen appear it means that all various components may malfunction (such as RAM memory, Hard Drive, graphic card, etc) .

Screeching noise My thinkpad x60 tablet has started to make a screeching noise a lot of times when I turn the sound up. I dual boot vista and ubuntu but the noise is only in vista and I do not hear it when I go into rescue and recovery either. It sounds like a feedback problem from the onboard mic because whenever I rub my finger against the mic I can hear it through the speakers and the screeching noise changes. I have tried turning the sound down on the mic all the way to zero, but I can still hear the screeching noise and I can still hear noise from the mic through the speakers. I tried disabling the mic, but it disabled my entire speaker system and everything and I had to reinstall soundMAX. After doing that I got my sound back but the mic also. Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Right click on the speaker icon in your taskbar, select Open Volume Control. If you do not see the Microphone control select options>properties and select it from the list of check boxes. Press OK. Check the mute box for your microphone.

Acer travelmate C110 & Acer projector X11602

Hi Andrew, you can try changing the output of the travelmate, to VGA Or External Device. ensure you have the correct output lead from computer to projecter. Then on your keyboard you should have a button that changes the output. i.e numerical 5-6-7 or 8. usually says LCD/VGA et,c. failing this try altering the output in the systems bios setup. you can enter this by pressing F2 Or esc at bootup. if your unsure, and none of this helps, i,d suggest visiting acers site. and downloading the user manual(s) Mike @ Compurepair.
