Taskmanager popup I have a tc4200 tablet and task manager keeps popping up. It pops up when I move the screen, when I connect to the internet, even when I just leave it on. Task manager repeatedly pops up and will have 130 windows at once. It beeps on start up and shuts down when trying to repair XP. I thought it was a virus, but replacing the hard drive and not transfering files didn't render a solution. I don't know what to do now. HP "professionals" didn't know either... they said they would research and call me back (they waited a month to call back... which was a day after my warrenty expired) and they still didn't know what to do. Please help... I need my computer to function. Thank you so much.

Let's start as simple as possible:Do you have a loose connection / glitch at the power-connector? Check and solder (link to manual for disassembly is further down in this document)To me this looks like a stuck key (not necessary one on the keyboard):create live-usb-ubuntu:1. download and burn ubuntu 8.10 to cd.2. boot _any_ computer with it, connect >1GB USB stick.3. System --> Administration --> Install to live usb4. Boot from live-usb-stick that you just created5. open terminal (Applications --> Accessories --> terminal)6. paste this: sudo apt-get install xev7. paste this: xev8. hover with mouse over white box9. make sure not to press any keys or move the mouse. Now flip the screen or try to recreate a situation in which the task manager would pop up in windows.10. what's the output in the terminal window? Try to pinpoint exactly how and when the events are generated. There should be no event generated, when you physically flip the display (which means you don't have to replace the hinge).Press every single key you can find on the laptop. Verify that each key generates exactly one event. If you find that there is a series of events generated without any key pressed, try to clean the malfunctioning key. (Service manual for disassembly)It might possibly be a broken hinge (20USD). Flipping the display and pressing soft keys (Q, rotate, e) does not generate events in xev. Any other button does.

Problem with internet connection says when I connect my KOBO to computer and cannot sync any books. Kobo charged and can't access KOBO on computer

It could be several things. But you may need to delete Kobo and reload the app. I have had to do this on some of my programs. Your books are on the net, so they won't be lost.

Cannot serf internet cause of spyware virus

It sounds like your virus protection has expired and you may have a firewall up blocking the internet connection. two options: pay mcafee the yearly renewal or go here and download a free professional antivirus, anti-spyware, and extensive firewall. if you do download the new FREE program, make sure you completely uninstall ALL virus and spyware programs you may already have installed. Including Mcafee. after youve decided what you will do and finished that part. open your web browser, go to internet options, advanced, and reset to default settings. then select the security tab and set to normal. you should be all set!! Good Luck

Wow............. First, I'd try to download and install AVG from You may have to get a mate to download to a USB drive for you and install from there. Run the anti virus programme (AVG) clean out any virus' you may have contracted. Next, I'd try a system restore (Start - All programmes - Accessories - System Restore) it maybe a little different for Vista but it is there. When restoring, restore to a point over 2 months old or before you had any problems. If that doesn't work, back to the USB, try downloading and installing IE8 from Microsoft. After that, we're looking at restoring windows by re-installing. Before doing that, offload any data you want to keep to DVD's etc. Good Luck.

If my computer does not have internet can i still connect to netflix

Can your computer connect to the internet? If it can, it just means that you have a wired internet connection and not a wifi connection on the computer, which means your iPad is just connected to your home network via wifi. If your computer can't access the internet or you know you don't have internet service at home, then you either have cellular service (3G/4G) or your iPad is connected to some other available WiFi from someone else's service.
