How can I fix this.I have a samsung tablet with the logitech keyboard. the little switch on the side wont switch it over so I can use the keyboard

About the only solution that might help is 'contact cleaner' available at electronic stores such as Radio Shack. Use very sparingly into the switch opening and operate it multiple times to 'wipe' the contacts. Avoid getting the spray on some plastics but if this solves the problem, the solution will also leave a protective coating behind on the contact surfaces. Good luck-

Keyboard not recognized

I was posted the July 25th problem. I had a VUNDO that kept deleting the driver for the keyboard. The keyboard worked in BIOS, so luckily the problem was not with the hardware. I manually deleted the infection while operating with the virtual keyboard and the tablet pen. I then added a USB keyboard and mouse to the dock/station and download updated drivers through Device Manager in Windows.Seems to have solved the problem. Thank you for responding though, MrArcadian!

Fresh vista install won't take and laptop acts all goofy

Seems like a hardware problem...Hard Disk Probably.but don't take chances...first remove any external hardware attached [usb, printer etc.remove the battery also]then try to install the OS use another CD or you can even use Windows XP.Make sure you change the SATA setting in the BIOS for XP. You did not mention the error message or when does it hangs while installing Vista.Try changing the Hard Disk.If there's still problem then it's your motherboard. As far as overheating is concerned you need to see how long does it remain powered on.And when you switch it on again does it turns off quicker than before. Take it to the service center.

I do agree with melnavz here: you need to clean the keyboard first off. However, i don't think it's necessary to clean each key by key because taking keys off is rather tricky. You can replace individual keys on a laptop keyboard instead of having to replace the whole thing only if you have extra keys stashed somewhere. Nonetheless, another keyboard really shouldn't cost all that much if it is the problem.
