Guide :Tablets & eReaders : Flybook V5 Tablet PC

Hi, I was having a problem with my Flybook in that the screen would go dark but the computer was still on. It would work if I plugged in an external monitor. I finally went to the advanced portion of the video display and the troubleshooting tab and shut down all acceleration which seems to have fixed the problem but I tried to get back to the advanced area and now the button is disabled. I would like to get back in to set video acceleration levels so they are not completely off - how do I get back in now that the button is disabled?

Uninstalling the drivers and then installing them again should return everything to default values.so you can uninstall the software / drivers from start -> control panel -> uninstall programs / add or remove programs, find it from the list and uninstall. if noting related is on the listen then icnore this step and go forward to the next one.on your desktop or on your start menu, right click on my computer or "computer" click on manage from the menu that comes up.on the computer management window on the left side, click on device manager, then see on the right side, video adapters or display adapters or similiar, open it up from the + next to it, see your video adapter there? Right click on it and uninstall.make sure all video adapters (most likely just one) are uninstalled, then restart the computer, it should start up in basic video settings and you may have to get the drivers for the video card from the makers website (I can look them up if you send me the brand and model of the laptop)All the settings will return to normals and the hardware acceleration should be turned to full, and you should be able to adjust it again.

Why won;t my irulu 10.1.1 tablet turn on. i push the button and nothing happens, when charger is plugged in it gets warm both tablet and plug

It sounds like you've done most of the things you would reasonably be expected to do to make it function; since it is only 2 months old I would strongly urge you to go back to the retailer and make them replace it or refund you, as your rights in most countries/states allow. If you're set against doing this, try holding down the power and volume down key for at least ten seconds to see if this boots it into hard reset mode. If this doesn't do anything, try again holding down power with each of the other buttons to see if you can activate any other developer/reset modes. However, I have read reports that this particular tablet has up to a 40% failure rate in its first six months. If you can possibly get it refunded, do that and buy something else.

SlotomaniaHD I play this game on my IPAD app store was an Up date so I did the up date now I can' together back into the game

I'm having the same issue on all my Idevices. Once slotomania was updated from the AppStore you can't login to Facebook with the app. Facebook shows a blank widow and won't allow the login, and the app no longer loads :(. Guess its a Facebook issue. Time to pull out the old laptop and play that way.

When using the kindle 1 it is all blurred at the top, like smeared ink about one inch. Originally it would not show anything at all when turned on but I took out the batter on the back and plugged it back in, pushed the reset button on the back and now at least text shows up but it is, as I stated, blurred or smeared at the top of the text. Any ideas. PS. I contacted Amazon Kindle and they said I could get a refurbished one for $100 and send this one back. I would rather try to get it to work.

You can get the screen at Kindle Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the screen at Kindle Disassembly Guide.

Techies, please help! I've been having problems with my Toshiba R15-S822... I get the BSOD when I try to load Windows, but I can start in Safe Mode just fine. I've tried multiple things - system restore, deleting newly installed programs, etc. but nothing worked. I backed up my files and decided to use the Recovery DVD (yes, it is the right DVD), but I get an error message that says "Wrong machine." Changed the boot priority in BIOS to make sure it boots from the CD-rom first, but I still get the same "wrong machine" message. I called Toshiba and they said it's likely a "low level BIOS" problem of some sort and that I would have to take it to a service center to fix it. It's such an old laptop but I like having it as a backup and using the tablet function on occasion...I don't really want to shell out any money to get it fixed. Are there any techies out there who have suggestions on how I can fix this? Thanks!

Toshiba support could be quite correct and service center solution the only one.You could try this from the command line window in safe mode.Open a command window and type CHKDSK /r (there is a space between K&r). It will tell you the drive is locked and would you like it to happen on reboot. Enter y then exit and reboot. It's got me out of trouble a few times.

Power/plug problem Hi. I have a Toshiba tecra tablet M4 and love it but new problem: The little metal rod that the power cord plugs into/onto fell off!! I stuck it back on but it was loose and I had to wiggle the power cord to get the lights to come on [tech wiz here]. That worked for a while. Now no power at all. Can't charge the battery or use the machine. I REALLY don't want to buy a new one if this is a somewhat easy fix. I have no problem with a screwdriver and opening the back up, I just have no clue what to replace. Thanks in advance!!!! KAW

First you need to see if the dc plug looks like this http://www.laptopjacks.com/view_part/Toshiba-Laptop-DC-Power-Jack-TS312030.htmlif it does its just a simple unplug and replace .

FixYa solutions for every thing Resent problems with my Gateway CX200X Tablet PC made me believe it was infected beyond a virus scan repair. It would NOT let me Virus scan, quick restore to a previous date, go to safe mode it would divert to set up screen and it would not read restore disc. I took out the internal battery and exterior battery over night and the next day quick restored to a month earlier then full scanned twice with Microsoft Essentials, cleaned the disc and defragged. It still would divert to setup screen instead of safe mode. MSN Messenger would repeatedly return to startup list after running msconfig, even though I removed it from the computer. The last straw was when after many adjustments to Power options, the screen would turn off not the hard drive or go into standby. Nor, would the screen come back on. I manually induced standby using the FN and F3 buttons. It worked, for about a half hour when the computer started on it's own. After saving what I needed off the hard drive to a Flash Stick, I full restored using the 2 discs except just before it was done (about 93%) it would turn off the laptop. Restart would show blue screen showing, NTLDR is missing. I removed the receiver for wireless mouse and... Restored again, and c000021a (fatal system error). Restored again, "windows could not start the following is missing or corrupt: windows root>\system32\ntsoskrnl.exe" Restored again, windows could not start the following is missing or corrupt: windows root>\system32\HAL,DLL. Restored again, windows could not start the following is missing or corrupt: windows root>\system32\RMCast.sys Is the corruption on the hard drive or in deeper? Would replacing the HDD be the cure?
