My Android says it's connected to my Wifi but when I try to use the browser it's says I'm not connected. When I go back to check on the Wifi it says authorative connecting problem. I don't know what to do. I looked in the pamplets that came with it and I logged on the the website, got a phone number and they said they don't do that and that that's another company with the same name and I should calll Amazon. I can't find a phone number for Amazon and even if I could their not the company to call for support for this Android. All I wanted was a affordable Android that I could use to get movies from Netflix and Hulu onto my tv. I wasn't asking the Android to sing and dance and do the dishes but I can't get past the Wifi problem so I can't tell if this is a good Android or not. If I can't rely on customer support then I'm sending it back. I chose this one because it was affordable and it had really good reviews. Help???

Techies, please help! I've been having problems with my Toshiba R15-S822... I get the BSOD when I try to load Windows, but I can start in Safe Mode just fine. I've tried multiple things - system restore, deleting newly installed programs, etc. but nothing worked. I backed up my files and decided to use the Recovery DVD (yes, it is the right DVD), but I get an error message that says "Wrong machine." Changed the boot priority in BIOS to make sure it boots from the CD-rom first, but I still get the same "wrong machine" message. I called Toshiba and they said it's likely a "low level BIOS" problem of some sort and that I would have to take it to a service center to fix it. It's such an old laptop but I like having it as a backup and using the tablet function on occasion...I don't really want to shell out any money to get it fixed. Are there any techies out there who have suggestions on how I can fix this? Thanks!

Toshiba support could be quite correct and service center solution the only one.You could try this from the command line window in safe mode.Open a command window and type CHKDSK /r (there is a space between K&r). It will tell you the drive is locked and would you like it to happen on reboot. Enter y then exit and reboot. It's got me out of trouble a few times.

Power/plug problem Hi. I have a Toshiba tecra tablet M4 and love it but new problem: The little metal rod that the power cord plugs into/onto fell off!! I stuck it back on but it was loose and I had to wiggle the power cord to get the lights to come on [tech wiz here]. That worked for a while. Now no power at all. Can't charge the battery or use the machine. I REALLY don't want to buy a new one if this is a somewhat easy fix. I have no problem with a screwdriver and opening the back up, I just have no clue what to replace. Thanks in advance!!!! KAW

First you need to see if the dc plug looks like this http://www.laptopjacks.com/view_part/Toshiba-Laptop-DC-Power-Jack-TS312030.htmlif it does its just a simple unplug and replace .

How do I get an answer to my problem? I do not want the new version of messenger on my I pad. I want the old version reinstated. I hate the new one and was happy with my old way of sending messages to

Messenger is a Facebook product. They will regularly update it and those updates will be available and installed on your iPad. You will always receive the latest version of the app that's compatible with your iPad 2. You can try contacting Facebook, but it's unlikely they're going to support the older version of their software when there are always going to be newer (and improved?) versions available. If you can be specific about what you don't like (rather than "I hate this awful new version" which does nothing for anyone), telling Facebook about it might give them something to think about. There ARE other nice messaging apps, including Apple's own Messages, used by millions of users successfully. You have options.

I have a panasonic toughbook cf18KHHZBZZ with 60 GB HDD and when i turne it on i get the panasonic screen.....the xp windows screen.... and then a black screen with only the mouse pointer to work but on a black screen. I tried the safe mode but the same result except that it says safe mode on the four corners of the screenand the xp version on top of the screen. I tried the normal mode with the black screen finally again. before it showed up with the problem it was for a long time trying to configure windows office 2003 for un upgrade, and i tried to stop the procedure with the task manager, and finally i turned it off with the power button

OK, you don't need to format. You can insert the CD and restart. You can ask to install but then the computer will say you already have a OS installed. You can press R to repair the OS. Your computer may have a recovery method. Some vendors don't give you a CD but recovery system is fed into a separate partition of the hard disk. See the documentation and check whether you have such a system. Please feel free to ask for advice any time. Repairing a OS is quite safe. You will not loose any software or updates. Remember, don't press R at the first screen where you are given a chance to go to recovery console. There is very little you could do there. First ask to install then ask to repair the existing one. After repairing the system, the first thing you need to do is to install a reliable Antivirus Software.
