Unable to move the cursor

Think we have nothing to do with this problem i own an asus r1e running on windows vista hope premium since the very first day i bought this wrecked computer i have been having this problem, it's really a suffer, always have to work with my computer plugged to the ac power. on battery power if i increase the screen brightness more than 13 percents the mouse cursor starts clicking on the upper left corner of the screen. i can not use my computer in daylight on battery power. with only 13 percent of screen brightness i think if i don't exchange this for a better one, soon i'll be having problems with my eyes too.

A computer will usually go into safe mode if there is a problem with a program or driver that will not let the computer run properly, so it will re-start in safe mode with most programs turned off so a technician or you can go through each program to see which one is causing the problem. To switch to a different start-up mode, press the F8 button continuously during start-up to get the Advanced start-up option.

Could be a bad driver or a damaged palmrest. Try to reinstall the touchpad driver. Go here and click 'synaptics touchpad'. Go through the process and restart when prompted. If it still doesn't work, it could be a damaged palmrest. Call HP at 800-474-6836 to see if your warranty covers the replacement. Otherwise, they can further diagnose the issue and refer you to service centers for parts replacement.
