Guide :Tablets & eReaders : Tablet PC

I had a 1Gb SD card in the Q1 Ultra's SD location for about 3 mths. It went in and out very smoothly. Then I took it out and planned to replace it with a 4 Gb SD card. It looked as if the 4 Gb card was too tight for the slot (I don't know why it should be) so I tried replacing the 1 Gb card, only to find that it, too, seemed too tight and wouldn't go in the slot. Any ideas?

SD cards has only 1 size and it should fit to any SD slots (no matter if it's 4GB or 2GB). Make sure that your current 1GB card and/or your 4GB is an SD card (SD cards are similar with other cards like MMC).If it's an SD card, you need to check the inner portion of the SD slot, because there's something blocking on your 4GB card.Otherwise, you need to bring your Q1 Ultra to the repair shop to open it and check the inner part of your device.Have a great day!

Looking for replacement screen for tmax 9" tablet

Go buy a new tablet. The screen will probably run probably $50-75. Are you going to attempt to replace the screen yourself? Do you have the necessary tools? If not, how much will the tools cost on top of what you would pay for the screen. Taking it out to be repaired? You'll be hard pressed to find a technician that charges less than $75 for labor alone. I repeat: Go buy a new tablet. Sorry man.

I have a used hp tc4400 tablet. When I got it everything was erased even windows from it. Now I am trying to download Uboutu bc it had this on it a few days ago, now its not there or I don't know how to find it. When i turn it on I have the choice of F10 and it just has on the top ...FILES, SECURITY, DIAGNOSTICS, AND SYSTEM CONFIGURATION...but it just tells me what the computer has...NOT how to get into it to do anything...from the F9 my other says NON-SYSTEM DISK OR DISK ERROR REPLACE AND STRIKE ANY KEY WHEN READY...but there is no disk place to put a disk in.....I doesn't have Windows of any kind on it anymore....I just need to know how to be able to get to a menu or place to even type something in like the DOS in windows.....I don't know what to do except throw it away...and I don't want to do that bc I am sure somehow it can be fixed...and also I guess you can tell from this that I am NOT very computer savvy....HELP? :)

According to the following link...looks like you would have to find/get a Docking Bay to hook up an External CD/DVD ROM in order to have a better chance of putting a operating system back on it.

Taskmanager popup I have a tc4200 tablet and task manager keeps popping up. It pops up when I move the screen, when I connect to the internet, even when I just leave it on. Task manager repeatedly pops up and will have 130 windows at once. It beeps on start up and shuts down when trying to repair XP. I thought it was a virus, but replacing the hard drive and not transfering files didn't render a solution. I don't know what to do now. HP "professionals" didn't know either... they said they would research and call me back (they waited a month to call back... which was a day after my warrenty expired) and they still didn't know what to do. Please help... I need my computer to function. Thank you so much.

Let's start as simple as possible:Do you have a loose connection / glitch at the power-connector? Check and solder (link to manual for disassembly is further down in this document)To me this looks like a stuck key (not necessary one on the keyboard):create live-usb-ubuntu:1. download and burn ubuntu 8.10 to cd.2. boot _any_ computer with it, connect >1GB USB stick.3. System --> Administration --> Install to live usb4. Boot from live-usb-stick that you just created5. open terminal (Applications --> Accessories --> terminal)6. paste this: sudo apt-get install xev7. paste this: xev8. hover with mouse over white box9. make sure not to press any keys or move the mouse. Now flip the screen or try to recreate a situation in which the task manager would pop up in windows.10. what's the output in the terminal window? Try to pinpoint exactly how and when the events are generated. There should be no event generated, when you physically flip the display (which means you don't have to replace the hinge).Press every single key you can find on the laptop. Verify that each key generates exactly one event. If you find that there is a series of events generated without any key pressed, try to clean the malfunctioning key. (Service manual for disassembly)It might possibly be a broken hinge (20USD). Flipping the display and pressing soft keys (Q, rotate, e) does not generate events in xev. Any other button does.

How I get my memory card on Acer tablet to wok. All that space can't download anything

Your new memory card won't "free up space" until you move stuff from the internal memory to the new card. You can do this with the file manager. The new memory card will show as an alternate location you can move stuff to.
