Not recognizing AC power

My machine will not detect AC power when it is plugged into a good wall outlet. It just keeps running on the batteries until they are dead. I've changed the power supply with a new one and it still occurs intermittently.

Replacing power jack for hp tc4200 tablet - need manual

I do jack replacements. It requieres soldering and completely dissasembling the laptop. Do not attempt unless you know what you are doing and have the proper tools and work setup. If you still want to do it yourself (at your own risk of course) you basicaly need to take the laptop apart, remove the brokem jack (de-solder) and put in the new one. Use maximum of 15Watt soldering iron. You can get all the tools you need at a local radio shack or electronics store. Good Luck.

My Tablet PCT4010 Seems dead after forced power off...

I had the same thing happen on my T4010D. The circuit to the power supply is foobar'd. I took apart my machine and then put it back together without changing anything and it fixed the problem temporarily. That worked successfully twice, which was long enough to get most of my files off of the machine. I ended up just buying a new laptop.

Space bar sticks - Fujitsu LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC

If you can get the space bar button off without messing up the button or the tactile underneath it then get if off and with a damp cottonball with glass cleaner wipe off the button and then wipe off the area where the plastic tactile is. As long as you can press on it and have it go down and come back up then the tactile and area is clean.Important thing will be to get the button to go back on properly. If your having problems with getting the button off and don't want to go thru the cleaning process then replacing the keyboard would be the 2nd option.
