AMAZE AT-TPC8015-8G Android Tablet only runs on connected charger and shuts down immediately when charger is disconnected. No charging when connected by USB port. It is brand new and was charged overnight first, ran for 2 1/2 hours and then shut down, needed over 5 hours to recharge and shut down immediately after unplugging it from the charger. Reconected charger and repeated charging process, then tried it again, same problem. There is only a very small user manual with this tablet which is in "Chinesenglish" and not very easy to read, have searched online about any information of this tablet but there is nothing to be found. What could be the problem ? As it is under warranty maybe I should just take it back and get a new one because the battery could have been faulty from the start !?

At the very least, a defective battery

Recovery Problems I need to perform a a recovery on this tablet laptop but the problem is the firewire cd/dvd drive doesn't work. I have two of thes Acer external firewire drives and neither works so it is probably the firewire port on the unit but the wires on these drives are notoriously flimsy. I tried doing a restore from the hidden partition drive that is on every Acer but the Alt F10 function does nothing. I even purchased a usb cd/dvd drive to try to boot the recovery CD from it but it won't recognize the drive. I was thinking I might try making a bootable usb thumbdrive from the recovery CD and then using the bios to boot from it. Running out of ideas though. The machine is still working pretty well it has ton's of corrupted installs on it and needs to be flushed. Can't find the handle though. :-)

The Tablets can be quite difficult to perform a reimage or recovery on as most bios versions on them do not recognise a USB device as bootable. My recommendation would be to obtain a Bootable Floppy disk that contains an imaging program. (GHOST. Powerquest etc). From here you may have 2 options available to you.1. Attempt to recover using the hidden partition on your hard drive.2. Recover from an image located via the network. You will need to ensure that a driver for your network card is also bundled into this install. Once this boothdisk has been created you will need to create a "shared folder" on another PC which contains the image you require. Once the bootdisk has loaded point yourself to the shared folder.Lastly - You may be able to find an updated bios version that allows boot from USB device.
